Cartoon or an Anime?
Dragon Ball fulfills categories for an Anime and for a Cartoon. It was drawn and animated in Japan, but it was aired all over the world, and due to some countries recognising Anime as a Cartoon, it was under that category, at least while I was watching it as a kid.
Plot
The plot of the series revolves around Dragon Balls, orange balls containing a star that represents the number of the ball, if You will collect all seven of them, one wish will be granted to You. It all starts with little Goku living alone in the woods because his grandfather had died. Goku is an alien, though he looks like human (except the monkey tail) he possesses superhuman strength, durability, and speed. His grandfather gave him a four star Dragon Ball which he guards as it is the only thing that he had left him. Bulma, a young girl looking for all the Dragon balls approaches Goku and tries to take the family heirloom away, to make her own wish. Goku does not want to be left apart from it, so Bulma tricks him into following her to look for the rest of the Dragon Balls. From here, the adventure begins!
